Project Specifications
We were able to complete glass installation across 4 dormitories for Bucknell University over the course of 2 years, completing the project in 2 phases
- Phase-based timeline, first phase completed in 2023 and second phase completed in 2024
- Installed over 2300 square feet of Kawneer 451T storefront framing across 4 buildings
Project Preparation & Framing
The better the project preparation, the more seamless the execution. Good communication with the General Contractor allowed us to complete the project in a timely manner with regular update meetings to troubleshoot and discuss progress.
- Regular onsite progress meetings with General Contractor.
- Coordinated with other Subcontractors and General Contractor for installation schedules.
- Accurately measured and prepared initial layout of openings to start the installation
- Erecting framing and anchors
- Installing vertical and horizontal rails to keep framing square/plumb
Glass Installation
Because of our rigorous preparation, we were able to install the glass into the frames on time and on budget for beautiful storefronts that will stand the test of time.
- Insulated glass was delivered and stored on the jobsite for less downtime
- 500 wide stile aluminum entrances to accommodate student traffic
- Custom hardware and ADA Compliant automatic door operators included push pads for accessibility
- Expedited fabrication utilizing Rhino Fab Machinery
